Dawa Gyaltshen represents PDP from Bongo-Chapcha constituency. He has got a bachelors degree in Education.
After completing pre-university from Bhutan in 1988, he went to Huddersfield Polytechnic, West Yorkshire, UK, to pursue further education where he completed Bachelor of Education in 1990. He also has been trained in Educational Management and Administration for Technical and Vocational Education Sector, DSE, Mannheim, Germany; Management of Training Centers from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Bangkok, Thailand; and Skill Development for Industry, in Tokyo, Japan.
He served several years at the Royal Technical Institute, Phuenstholing, as Instructor, Deputy Supervisor and Vice Principal. He worked as the Chief Human Resource Officer at the Department of Human Resources, Ministry of Labour and Human Resource and at the Tala Hydropower Project Authority in Gaedug as Senior Personal Officer.
He was the Senior Manager of the human Resource and Administration Division before he resigned to joined politics.
